Custom Statuses

Custom Statuses

Qfactor allows you to define statuses to match your business processes using terms your team already knows.

You can access Manage Statuses here: https://qfactor.bizwatt.com/project-statuses

Project Stages

Qfactor has several status stages, allowing you to put statuses into buckets making project reporting easier.

  • Proposal

  • Active

  • Ready for Invoicing

  • Invoiced

  • Archived - completed projects. May only have one status.

  • Lost - for proposals never converted to projects. Statuses can be “No Response”, “Lost to Competitor”, etc.

Project Statuses

You can add your own statuses under the appropriate stages. Proposal Stage could have “Research & Prep”, “Estimating”, and “Sent to Client” as statuses to show the pipeline of potential projects.

Map Placemarks

Qfactor allows you to add placemarks to project statuses to make them easy to identify on the embedded Google map of your company’s projects.

Drag To Reorder

Stages and statuses should follow a progression, sequence of events, from incoming call to paid invoice. Proposals come first, then Active projects, Invoiced, and Archived. As you create statuses within each stage, Qfactor lets you drag statuses to reorder them in the sequence of events.

Project Count by Status

This graph shows one of the benefits of utilizing project statuses. Moving from left, proposal request, to right, completed and invoiced project, provides a visualization of where each proposal and project is in your company's workflow. Clicking on any bar will take you to a report listing all the projects at that status allowing you to quickly drill down to summary and detailed project information.
